Disk BoostUp for Mac only partially lives up to its claim of addressing sluggish performance, restoring responsiveness, and maintaining fast startup times. It's a useful but not indispensable app.
Eases the process of correcting permission conflicts: Disk BoostUp for Mac can fix permission problems in no time, requiring only a few clicks, and easing a process that otherwise requires several steps.
Light and easy to use: The installer weighs only 1.46MB. The application launches very quickly. All you need to do to put this app to work is click on the "Scan and Fix" button.
Limited to scanning and repairing improper file permissions: It does nothing else. It would have been better if it could also remove temporary and unnecessary files and programs. Sluggish performance is not only about startup permission conflicts.
Practically useless if you are accustomed to using the Disk Utility app: While Disk BoostUp for Mac eases the disk permission repair process, it's not really an essential app to download. Your Mac already has the tools to do permission conflict scanning and repair.
Cannot be set to automatically perform scans: Since the app recommends regular scanning, it would have been better if it could be configured to automatically do scans at startup.
Disk BoostUp for Mac does only permission problem scanning and checking, a function that your Mac can do already. Apart from saving you a minute or so, this app has little else to offer. Still, it does make the process easier and shorter, so it's worth trying out.
