DeltaCopy is an open source, fast incremental backup program. A normal file copy would copy the entire file even if a few bytes have changed. DeltaCopy, on the other hand, would only copy the part of file that has actually been modified which saves time and network bandwidth.

Pros
This software is easy to install and run. It has the necessary functionality to make it a useful backup tool, such as instant run, scheduling, and incremental backup.
Cons
Software doesn't integrate with other software like failover programs that need access to backed up files.
Summary
DeltaCopy runs as a service and gives file ownership to the service user. If another program such as a failover system needs access to the backed up files, it is denied access. Permissions must be manually modified after backup complets to allow the failover users to get access to the files. In a highly regulated environment such as finance this is a very annoying situation to rectify.
