Out of date. Current version is over 3 years old and no longer works with modern security protocols, so I couldn't log in to my web site using secure FTP. Support expects you pay $30 a year in order to respond to your query even before you've bought it.

Do not buy this product. It is out of date and there are many and better freeware alternatives.

Beware when uploading their "free trial". While installing it asked if I want to change my home page to yahoo.com. I said no. One of my pet peeves is automatic check off uploads (such as Google Chrome for Adobe) and I ALWAYS watch for them, and ALWAYS decline them. I did this time. It changed my home page to Yahoo anyway!!! If their software is designed to be predatory malware on computers and change a home page to Yahoo regardless of the users declining the change -just so they can make a few cents per upload - then what other aspects of this program are messing with your ownership of your computer?

No support for back and forward mouse buttons, which is frustrating because I'm always instinctively wanting to use them for moving back and fourth through sub folders.

Don't believe the weird negative comments. I've been using CuteFTP since the late 90's. It has never been free. And why should it be? Developers gotta eat!

As far as I can remember, this used to be freeware, Now, suddenly, it is only free to try (30 days) There too many other products which are free to warrant paying almost $45.00 for this. As soon as the trial period has finished I'll be downloading Filezilla

Very cheeky considering this product used to be free and was a pretty decent FTP, there is NO WAY you should pay for FTP in this day and age. RIP OFF.

AVOID like the plague, look for alternative FREE FTP softwares that do the same thing without trying to rip you off.

Software authors must make a living too. Many times you a deceived when programs are 'freeware', yet come bundled with toolbars and other things. NOTHING in this world is free. By charging a small amount, you get support. Of course, I am biased being a pseudo-freeware author myself (Process Lasso Pro, automated priority optimization and process automation).
