Developer’s Description

Apply unbreakable file encryption for e-mail attachments and general file protection.
Cryptra is an unbreakable encryption program for sending encrypted email attachments and/or the secure uploading of off-site backup files to remote servers. One Time Pad (OTP) encryption is used with a True Random Number OTP file. This program builds you a Cryptra Key on a USB flash drive. The key holds the Cryptra software, the OTP file (5 MB for trial key), and the Cryptra installation program for installing the software on your system (recommended but not necessary). You can encrypt any file up to 5 MB with the trial software and send it directly from Cryptra if you have configured the email option to do it.Operation is simple; browse for a file you want to encrypt, select the USB Key that you just created and click the encryption button. File extensions determine if a file will be encrypted or decrypted. A file with the .cryptra file extension will be decrypted while any other file extension will cause the file to be encrypted. Our commercial Cryptra software ships on a USB Flash Drive Key preloaded with a unique OTP file of 2 billion bytes (16 billion bits). Using a figure of 75,000 bytes for an average email, 2 billion bytes is large enough to encrypt more than 26,000 totally secure emails. Now that Cryptra has file compression, even more can be created.
