  Not a very advanced program.

  Summary

  For a free program I was very pleased. I was trying to layout a garden plan and show existing structures. I was able to accomplish my task in mere minutes.

  Too complex to be intuitive for untrained user like me.

  Summary

  I am no draftsman. I just wanted a simple computer assisted drawing of a simple wood awning I want to build over a doorway. This program appears very capable, so much so that it was too complicated for me to figure out.

  I found CadStd v3.7.3 Lite and Pro have a great new feature ... DAE Export

  Cons

  None ... COLLADA (*.dae) is an open source standard.

  Summary

  CadStd's new DAE (COLLADA File) export feature means you can import CadStd drawings directly into Google SketchUp. Thank you, Apperson & Daughters!

  Everything! Can't get a proper scale, relative base size, accurate measurement on the drawing, start/stop drawing, insert gap....etc. etc..

  Summary

  As much as it pains me, Google Sketchup is fantastic in comparison. Yet on its own, I'd give that only one star too. Can it be so difficult to draw some boxes to an accurate scale? I can draw it on a piece of paper quicker!

  i dont know exactly how cad works but this program made it easy for me to understand and easy to use , now i get the jist of what people who build things go through to get things right. this was great.

  of course i dont know how to use all the buttons like my son does , but thast the way it goes

  its great for putting down ideas and making blueprints, if you took CAD in school this is great to begin with, before moving on to bigger and better ideas and get the program.
