Boomerang provides parents a powerful remote control of their child's non-iOS devices when installed in Parent Mode (MANAGE FAMILY DEVICES). When installed in Child Mode (CONTROL THIS DEVICE), Boomerang provides parents with features to get reports of their child's SPIN Safe Browser internet browsing history as well as be able to chat and locate their child.
Boomerang in Parent Mode:
Review and request your kid's most recent location.
Communicate safely anytime within your family group with our Family Messenger feature.
View your child's web browsing history via our Reports - requires SPIN Safe Browser (free download).
*Only for non-iOS devices*
Control device allocated screen time and scheduled screen time plus set a daily time allowance on individual apps.
Individual app controls: block, encourage or always allow specific apps for good/quality screen time purposes.
Call logs and Texting logs: get informed of inappropriate words being used too.
Review YouTube app viewing history and searches.
*Note for Parents Looking for Screen Time for their Child's iOS Device*
Boomerang cannot use the Device Management Profile so our screen time and app control approach was removed. Fortunately for parents, Apple has introduced their own screen time feature as part of iOS 12 - visit your Settings > Screen Time.
NOTES AND TIPS
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Boomerang does minimize the use of the GPS when not being used for events such as check-in and setting changes.
All commands and location updates require an internet connection (Cellular and/or Wi-Fi).
iPhone 4s is not supported due to its smaller screen.
Boomerang no longer uses a Device Profile for parental controls on iOS.
