  The vidoes are entertaining, I'll say that much at least

  Screws up your pc, not sure if its from spy/malware or just the increased load on your memory

  Summary

  Lots of people writing about how to get rid of it, etc. which sounds pretty difficult. I went the easy route and just did a system restore for two days ago, since I only installed it yesterday.

  To get rid of it use CCleaner that's what worked for me it probably didn't get rid of the malware it installed but thats why I have malwarebytes<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jul 5, 2011<p/>I agree to remove it I used CCleaner and that worked

  I made money removing from customers computers.

  This thing rates right up there with being about as bad as the Fake Alert Trojans.

  Summary

  Had a customer bring in their computer with this blinlx and all the computer would do was play Obits gum ads from the blinlx screen saver. Not to hard to clean up, but this is a horrible piece of spyware that will turn grandma's computer into nothing but one never ending advertisment. This shakes my fath in cnet, how could you put this on your download list? Does the person who checks this stuff have a new Porshe and $27,000.00 per year salary?

  This is nothing good about this at all. Giving it a rating of one star indicates 20% this is misleading. There should be an option of zero stars.

  Cons

  This has infected my computer, installed without permission, and is now uninstallable. Do not install this garbage!

  Summary

  This product actually does play video (randomly it seems) but it also installs malware. Malware bytes Anti-Malware (a wonderful product) got rid of that majority of the junk that was installed, however it didn't get rid of the Blinkx Beat.

  None - this will only cause you grief

  This is ad-ware / virus that I did not install and cannot remove. Turns on whenever it wants an starts playing video's that I do not want. It cannot be unistalled.

  Summary

  I do not know why Cnet would ensorse this product. It makes me question any of the products that cnet recommends. It would be nice for Cnet to post a follow-up article to explain how you can remove this once it's found itself on your pc.
