Beamly TV - by zeebox is a fun way to keep up with all of your favorite TV shows and to find new ones to fall in love with. This app lets you customize your newsfeed with the types of programs you like to watch, and you can get local TV listings through the app, too, so you'll never miss an episode.

Pros

Highly customizable: When you open Beamly TV for the first time, you'll be prompted to select the shows you like and the stars you're most interested in following. News about the shows and stars you select will show up in your newsfeed, so you can browse through the latest stories anytime you want.

Lots to explore: Whether you're looking for more information on certain celebrities, or you want to find some new and interesting shows to watch, you'll have the resources you need right at your fingertips. Through the Discovery tab, you can find the most popular shows on that day, and you can check out the details of each one to see what fans have to say about it to see if it's something you want to watch.

Notifications: To make sure you never miss an episode, movie, or special event that you want to watch, you can configure reminders right from the app to alert you when the show is about to start. Reminders can be through email, push notifications, or both, and you can select your preferences under Settings.

Cons

Inconsistent push notifications: Although we had our alerts configured for both email and push notifications during testing, there were several occasions when the push notifications did not show up. The emails always came through, though.

Bottom Line

Beamly TV is a great way to keep up with all the TV shows you love, even with its minor reminder flaw. It's free, offers tons of features and content, and lets you customize content to suit your interests.
