• Spectacular Software

  Pros

  I recommend this piece of software. AllMyNotes Organizer Deluxe is new but very innovative piece of software. Very easy to be used. Novice have no problem in using this. Developer has designed its GUI so easy and attractive. Light weight to resources. 100% Secure and reliable. Support is effective.

  Cons

  No problem found in this software till date.

  Summary

  I recommend this software to every user.

  Cons

  I personally think the UI is a little dated. A sort of "XP" type experience.

  Summary

  I'm using V2.70, which is a newer release that CNET is showing as I write this, so after you install, make sure you go to the Vladonai web site and upgrade. There are many of these tree based hierarchical PIM/note keeper software titles and so many of THEM are crippled in some way, but this one is not. I don't know why Global search is not included in EVERY Note keeper type software but it isn't. And the auto save and auto backup features seem like a no brainer to me. And you ought to be able to paste stuff into a note from other apps. SO MANY can't do that. They aren't PIM/note keeper software, they are bad text editors with a tree structure attached. "All My Notes" is a true PIM/notes software application designed to REALLY help you keep your life organized. This one WORKS. There is also a user's forum supported by Vladoai, rare for a small company and I like it, it shows a commitment to the application. I had been on Zim Desktop Wiki but was hampered by a lack of decent search capability. Importing my Zim notes into AMN was pretty easy, I exported them from Zim as HTML, and imported them into AMN as HTML source. The tree structure wasn't maintained though, so I had to recreate the structure outline in AMN and import each level in the heirarchy. Planning a conversion to AMN could get complicated if you have a complex organizational structure you need to maintain. But I suspect that is true for all PIM/Note keeper titles. If there is any negative, I think it is the somewhat old fashioned user interface and the lack of a mobile app with synchronization. I read on the user's forum that they are working on such a thing but have no release date. I'd also like to see a native Linux version as I suspect Microsoft and I are starting to diverge philosophically and I don't see myself being on Windows OS in 5 years. But for the time being, this is the best inexpensive Notes/Pim title out there, in my mind.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Mar 28, 2013<p/>In addition to, or instead of a Linux version, perhaps there should be a Chrome version using Native Apps. It is my believe that Google has the right of it in terms of where personal computing is headed.

  Pros

  Like tree structure and searchable data base along with drag and drop of files .

  Cons

  Needing to pay means I can not make multiple copies to use for different functions or computers and ruins my excitement at finding this program.

  Summary

  Seems like a good program but not sure it beats PIM or EPIM as it is also called.Still early in trial and will come back if I change opinion.

  Pros

  Very crisp and clean look. Easy (almost fun!) to use.

  Cons

  I don't like icons as in demo. No problem I don't use. Can't think of any other cons.

  Summary

  I have 28 years of using PIMS, Databases and others for information management. I spent about 100 hours researching every pim and info manager I could find. I settled on Treepad.biz which is extremely powerful and a great program. I will continue using that but I like all my notes organizer for just what the name imply's! $17 is an absolute bargain!

  Pros

  Alarms and Icons extremely useful. Built in RandomPasswordGenerator and optional password encryption of both db and individual files makes LastPass use unnecessary, and even a bother. Easy to learn &#38; use. Doesn't load itself with rarely used features

  Cons

  Lack of Calender makes it a little awkward to get an overview of schedules. Trash Bin needs improvement. Difficult to empty Pasting from internet results in need to readjust font sizes too often. Lack means to lock focus (pin-up, bkmrk, tab) a minus

  Summary

  Still working on a deeper analysis of the program. Although I have the full version (for extended trial courtesy of company) the real decision is not the price. On cost/value AllMyNotes has already beat Info-Select for beginners in PIM use. I recommend it to anyone just starting out, and even to those quite advanced. You just cannot do better than AllMyNotes cost/value ratio. I've been using Info-Select since it started. I love it but as I consider an upgrade from my old ver6 to the newer version, I wondered if value added is worth the cost. In some ways InfoSelect opted for bells and whistles, and for features I, personally, don't need. AllMyNotes has put a new light on features for me. Now I am balancing between switching to AllMyNotes, something not to be taken lightly after creating a massive databases in Info-Select, or opting for an upgrade to Info-Select 10. I am really playing roughhouse with AllMyNotes. It is holding up though my list of Pros, Cons, &#38; Suggestions for Improvement multiply daily. I will deliver a final summary to them before publishing a final review. They deserve the courtesy. In the same manner, Info-Select 10 also deserves a good field test. Info-Select has served me very very well lo these many years. They deserve full consideration despite the added cost. Even Info-Select 6 has features that I would wish in AllMyNotes. Soon I will request a trial of Info-Select 10 and see if they cut down on bells and whistles, and got back to their bottom line and true expertise text based Information Management. They've proved themselves over and over again in the past as true innovators in the field. Besides, as is often said, "The best software is the one you know how to use." Just based on 'loss aversion' (my ISW databases) switching now is difficult to do. Bottom Line: AllMyNotes Test it. I think almost everyone will like its many features, its clean operation, its utiity, and more. The price is very good for such a quality program. I especially recommend it for beginners to intermediate PIM users. I reserve judgement on some of the more advanced functions needed for Pro use. I just haven't completely tested those yet. In any case, I will keep it and use it for projects I am working on now. No problem. It really is a good PIM.

• Brilliant tool for notes, links and other things

  Pros

  Simple to use and very versatile with support for images and tables this organiser is top of the class. Love the copy paste of pictures into the notes and that it auto backs up when and where you want it to. The global search is stunningly fast.

  Cons

  The font sizes seem to display smaller than in other programs but it is not a problem. Only built in icons for folders.

  Summary

  A simple way to keep all your Notes organized on your PC. This RTF based notepad has many advantages over using a text editor such as Notepad or Textpad in that you can format your text and can include images, but does not have the overhead of a word processor. Coming complete with a spell checker, file attachment capabilities, reminders and alarms you have a comprehensive tool to take care of your daily schedules, or a mini word processor for assembling your interests, hobbies or business plans. An icon sits in the system tray area and a right click gives you instant access to the main functions. There is an hierarchical structure of 'folders' and 'files' which are elements in the single database file. The interface is well laid out and intuitive and there is very little need to refer to the help file, especially if you are familiar with a word processor or with MS OneNote. In many respects the software has much of the functionality of OneNote but it is lighter in system requirement and fast to become available when you double click the icon. The program can close to the system tray, or minimise to the system tray, thus saving unnecessary clutter on the bottom bar. In fact it is so speedy that for things I need to access quikly this is the tool of preference. MS Outllok just takes too long to do everything but has it's uses. With support for tables this organiser definitely ranks top of the class. The global search function is so fast that the search term has been found before you realise it. I have currently 23 Mb of notes and the search is a split second affair and evens searches in the recycle bin. The database can be backed up automatically whilst you are working and when you start up for the day, and an auto save function ensures that should you have a crash the work will be saved except for the last few minutes. You can have many database files, but only one can be open at a time.

  Pros

  Ease of use. Skinable. Secure database. Built in password generator and recycle bin. Very nice alarm clock reminder function. Can insert tables into notes. Easy note creation. Fast efficient search functions. Portable version. Good price. Forums.

  Cons

  Lack of monthly calendar. No option to work with multiple databases which is not a problem unless one creates massive amounts of data to track.

  Summary

  Well worth the investment. Compares very favorably with other PIM products and in many respects surpasses them for ease of use, price, support.

  Pros

  This is an incredible organizer from Vlad and Nadiya in Ukraine. These two published one powerful program and it's unbelievably flexible and easy to learn. The tech support (if you need it) is the best - responsive.

  Cons

  The text formatting isn't always perfect but they're working on it constantly to improve it.

  Summary

  I paid for the full blown version - the first time in years I've paid for software, couldn't live without it!

  Pros

  Configure it any way you want. The publisher calls it "natural" in it's ease of use. It is. I needed a little support, had some questions after downloading the free trial, had a problem with the pay portal - all received amazingly fast support.

  Cons

  A couple of teeny, inconsequential quirks, easily resolved, involving text formatting.

  Summary

  This is the first free package that I've upgraded to the paid package in years. It's just plain fun to use and does way more than one would expect considering its ease of use. The free version does quite a bit too.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Nov 13, 2010<p/>I forgot to tell you, you can set it to open minimized on startup, so it can be used instantly from the desktop or from any application anytime. It will connect to web links, dial phone #s, integrate with your email and set off alarms in all your PCs operating environments. It will easily import text and graphics. You can use this for an unbelievable number of purposes for a very reasonable price.
