  NONE. ZERO. IT IS WORTHLESS.

  I just wasted a couple of hours and got a bunch of songs RUINED by this scam. They advertise it as "free" but unless you pay the registration fee (that they may not tell you about), they embed someone speaking the name of their company into your files. When I complained I was told that's their anti-piracy feature for illegal copies. Umm, I downloaded AVS Media FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE!

  The interface is terrible. Effects take 5 - 10 seconds to click in. Effect adjustments take 5 - 10 seconds to click in. Help file lacks any useful guidance - and just states the obvious for the benefit of novices (or the useless, lazy developers).

  Summary

  Such a disappointment after all the hype I read in their advertising. The developers of this software clearly have no idea about editing a sound file because the interface is clumsy and fails to allow the user to do editing at a quick speed. Then there is the terribly slow speed at which this functions. Think about internet with dial-up speeds, and then think slower. Before you wonder about my computer speed, it's Windows 7 (64-Bit) with a quad core Intel Q9400, which is more than fast enough for any current software. After you get to the edit effect or feature you require it takes 5 - 10 seconds for the adjustment to take effect, so incremental adjustments are a no-no. The appallingly slow speed of this software would suggest that it's been written by typically fat, lazy, Mars bar eating developers. I contacted the company to ask about this but 24 hours later there's still no response. The Help file is useless too, it's of no help at all, just providing descriptions of what functions are for. If you buy this useless junk you'll be effectively throwing your money away, because I can guarantee you'll be desperately looking around for something else.

  You can only use their software 1 time, I ordered the AVS4You for $ 59.00 and my mother board went out and I had to purchase a another computer. No response from their customer NO service. Don't be SCAMMED by this lousy company. I will spread the word, hope they enjoyed taking my $ 59.00, they will NEVER see another dime from me, EVER !!!!!!!!!

• Program embeds audio logo.

  Actually made the conversion from wma to MP3 but with the audio logo embedded.

  Cons

  I unwittingly converted about 150 songs from wma to MP3 format. If "audio logo" was hi-lited or the meaning of an "audio logo" was explained, I would have not made the conversion. Anyone successful in removing the logo?

  For the limited purposes I use editing software for, this has been fantastic. I am making recordings of violin solo tracks, and have only used the "auto correction" feature and some of the trim functions ... but have loved how easily I was able to use this, no reading manuals required. :) Other software (video, audio) by the same company can be used for the same price. I have not used these yet but am looking forward to it! I would give this five stars except that I have not used all the features, so don't want to overstate the case!

  Intuitive and easy to use for someone who has never edited an audio file before.

  Cons

  "AVS Audio Editor" repeating every few seconds of my file. I can't imagine this trial version being useful for anyone who actually wants to save and use the files they create with it.

  Summary

  I downloaded this to create a ring tone for my cell phone. I have never used an audio editing software before. It's 90% likely that this is the only time I ever will, so I really don't want to buy something for a one-time use. Now on the plus side, it took me no more than ten minutes to figure out what I wanted to do and make it happen. I was thrilled until I tried to save it. I didn't understand what "audio logo" meant until I played it back and heard the darn thing every few seconds. I think it played four times in my thirty second track. That effectively makes this whole episode a pointless waste of time, except as a reminder that you get what you pay for.
