Pros

Fast and accessible: Because it features only free, mostly top-rated apps, 1Mobile Market proves easier to digest than Google Play, helping you to discover interesting titles that you might otherwise miss.

Powerful search: The autocomplete feature for the search bar, rather than showing you suggested keywords like in Google Play, provides a dozen or so relevant app titles, saving you a few taps and allowing you to jump straight to the app you want, which you can install with one tap.

Cons

Plastic interface: Compared to the Google Play interface, which it attempts to mimic, this app's UI, especially the Home, looks cheap and unpolished. What's more, at the bottom of the screen you'll find a gaudy, conspicuous banner ad that takes up quite a lot of screen space and that you have to put up with at all times.

Occasional quirks: During our tests we occasionally encountered 3MB apps that would take more than a minute to install, as well as broken app links.

Bottom Line

1Mobile Market makes the discovery of worthwhile free apps faster and more convenient than through Google Play, though it does have its own faults. It's not a replacement or a rival for the mighty Google Play, but rather a little brother, a good companion for app enthusiasts. It may help you cut software expenses, since all apps it features are free.
