Summary
No not install it. Instead use the default game available in Win XP/Vista/7. This one installs a lot of unwanted things which then can't be uninstalled off your machine. I am struggling since one hour to remove this off my machine. Be vigilant.

Crashes all the time Constant ads for other programs Hijacks a web page when you quit or uninstall (this makes me very angry) The mine map sits inside another container making the size on screen bigger than it needs to be.
Summary
Don't bother with this one. I only tried it because my PC didn't have the original from MS. Constant crashing, ads, browser hijacks make this a poor poor clone.

I like being able to change the size of the puzzle and the density of the mines.
Cons
No other options (i.e., change color, change character [that lady gets old quick]). How about a version where you're chasing zombies or aliens instead of mines... yes I know then it wouldn't be "minesweeper." But I still like the idea.
Summary
It was easy to download & start up. They need to get rid of the lady who smiles or frowns (I liked the old smiley face) or give options for that character. Otherwise, no problems here.

Often I have to click multiple times before it registers. It seems to need an alignment for the click location vs. the box outline.

I like the new sounds, they are kind of entertaining...I like how it explodes when you open a bunch of spaces...

When I click on the mines sometimes they do not open up right away...so I have to click on them multiple times...that ruins my time...
