Great for converting; Edit feature makes it inoperable

Program crashes each and every time you try to edit (copy, trim, etc.) a video file before conversion

Great for simple, quick conversion projects. Don't bother if you need to perform simple editing beforehand.

* Instructions and help are thin * Can take some tweaking to get acceptable results * I noticed some glitching on the finished videos in some formats.
Summary
I used HyperCam to capture some video onscreen and then used this iWisoft Converter to compress them, and the results included extra ugly artifacts on the video. I only just downloaded it a couple hours ago and I've had to try various settings to get the results I wanted. Thankfully, it's fairly fast. Now, I'm getting OK video in a very, very compressed FLV format. I still have to try to figure out how to get other formats and sizes to work, but overall, I'm impressed.

no "Pros", install froze about half-way, opened three identical error windows with "Lua Error!" titles

could not exit frozen install, could not close third error window -- link to screenshot below -- had to terminate the install app from Task Manager http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/2386/luaerror.png

FREE!QUICK!NO FUSS! I already owned a paid for video converter,but it became buggy after my system was cured from a virus,so i was looking for a temporary replacement.This was it.I liked the program and am wondering why i paid for one in the first place.(The other program has been deleted)

I've only used it once, but it was easy to use - intuitive. I converted from some odd file format to .wma. No problem.

Excellent freeware, you can also adjust the brightness and contrast the video before convert other format.
Cons
1. Needs to update before use, that's not fair. For the user that is in trial using and needs to use several time, if it is good, they will update. 2. When it startup, you'll see an update successfully popup message. That's obstructs to all users.

This is very fast at converting my 1h 17m avi video into mp3 format, and there is so many formats to choose from. This is a must have download because it doesn't need the internet, so wherever you are, you can convert!!! Definitely download, even if you don't need it now, there will be a time when you do.
