Browse photos, music, movies, bookmarks to drag into other apps.
Built from the ground up to resemble the media browser found in several Apple applications, the Karelia iMedia Browser is a stand-alone utility that can be used to quickly access a user's library of photos, sounds, movies, or bookmarks. The Karelia iMedia Browser allows users to browse their libraries of photos (iPhoto, Aperture, and Pictures folders); music (iTunes library, GarageBand songs, and Music folders); movies (from iTunes, iPhoto, and Movies folders), and bookmarks (from several leading web browsers). It can be activated either from the dock or from a small icon in the menu bar.
A better alternative to the built-in Media Browser.

Pros
The iMedia Browser is far more customisable (easier to add folders, for example) than the built-in browser. It is also usable in more than just the iLife and iWork apps so it can float over Microsoft Office or Adobe products. By the way, it is free.
Cons
You have to remember to turn the app on at login so that it is there when you need it. Large folders of images can take a while to load. I would love it to add web history to its search but otherwise a great app.
Summary
Doesn't work. Crashes everytime.

This is really a fantastic program. In iWeb, Pages etc there is a possibility to have a window with media like pictures etc easy at hands. The problem though is that the program only show pictures from your iPhoto library. iMedia works the same, but you can choose any file of pictures etc on your hard disk. So besides iPhoto i now can choose from copyright free pictures that comes with the new MS Office, PrintShop, Printfolio etc. I also can include picture folders that comes with MacOs like desktop pictures, iChat bullets etc. You must try it to see how smart it is
And besides - it is free
VERY USEFUL
