iGetter is a download utility with useful functions such as resuming broken downloads, segmented (accelerated) downloading, Internet browser integration, and queue filtering by various criteria. The program offers file mirrors support for additional acceleration, cookies support, processing Web page links, scheduling downloads for low traffic periods, reconnecting modems, and shut down when the downloads are done. Features: iGetter shows the average speed of the finished downloads. The iGetter function 'Integrate with Internet browsers' fully supports the Safari browser. An'Info' tab pane. It shows detailed information of the currently selected download in the queue.

What I like is that you first try it out free first, then if you want you can buy it,and all the things you can do on it.

Summary
I downloaded this program in hopes I could faster download a huge file (Americas Army), I was in for a big surprise...not only does this program not resume downloads, even if the server supports it, but it makes my macintosh unresponsive after awhile and when I try to stop the download or exit it, even a force quit does not work, it just sits there and makes the HD do something (who knows what) and I have to manually restart my macintosh after that, I am running MacOS X 10.3.5 with 640MB SDRAM and a few programs in the background (nortan anti-virus, aim, icq, msn messenger, and firefox) which my macintosh normally handles just fine without any interruptions, so finding this frustrating I've removed igetter and instead gotten Speed Download 2 which has caused no problems and actually resumes downloads :-o *gasp*...DO NOT waste your time with this program, instead download Speed Download 2
