Summary
I was re-sizing one of my partitions and accidentally destroyed my boot section and lost access to the drive. The drive became raw and was prompting for format in order to access it. I had very valuable data there (my wedding videos, tons of family pictures, personal finance documents, etc.). I did some research and tried the free version of iCare. This program scanned the raw drive and showed me the files. I purchased the full version and managed to recover all the needed data with it. Best $50 I've spent this year! Will recommend without a doubt! Just make sure to search for coupons to get a 20-50% discount...

"Terrific Freeware! It Has Recovered My IPod."

My iPod is always going well until yesterday I inserted it to a public computer to download a pop song. I connected it to my pc later but somehow all data disappeared. I right clicked it and it said 400MB used. But I just could not find the files, they were hiding away. I downloaded iCare Data Recovery and had my iPod scanned. What a miracle! All files were back again! Thanks very much!

I also have an iPhone but the software is not compatible with it. What a pity!

"Useful & Valuable Software for Reformat CF card"

I linked the CF card to my pc by a card reader, it said my CF card is not formatted, I inserted it into my Cannon, it still said "the disk in drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now", it was so weird because just a few days ago I stored photos into it and it worked well. I connected it to my friend's computer it did not work either. I did not want to format it for I had stored all my graduation photos in it. So I tried this data recovery software. Wow, I never expect I can reformat my CF card and recover the photos. It was terrific!
Cons
I had some difficulty in recovering my videos, and only half of those were found back. I left my CF card there and did not store any more data in it. What may I do to recover the left videos?

"Amazing and Powerful Sofware"

Pros
It retrieved my important documents from my corrupted CF card. I bought the card just a few weeks ago and I didn't know why it could not be recognized on my pc and had to be formatted.I would lose all my files if I did so. Thus i downloaded this free iCare data recovery and installed it. That was fast. The only thing I had to do was clicking my mouse and you may guess it, my files were recovered. Thanks a lot!

"Helpful Tool Saved All My Files"

I deleted my son's birthday photos and videos from my pc by mistake, and I even could not find them in recycle bin either!Then I found iCare data recovery on the web and I had a try. Thank God! The lost photos and videos were back again. The operation is quite simple and the demo is very clear. I just did as it told me and the whole process was merely 30 minutes. It's really a handy software.
Cons
It would be much more better if the interface color be lighter.
It is not compatible with Mac and iPod.Summary

None. It didn't get any files off the drive.

I bought this, seeing their money back guarantee and (falsely) believing I could get my money back if it didn't work. In trying to talk to them, they take days to respond (running out time on their guarantee). They USED to have in their money back policy that if it didn't meet your needs then you would get your money back, but since I tried to get them to honor that part of their policy, they have since removed it from their guarantee page. Beware of them - they have no honor. How despicable!!!!

"The PAID VERSION is probably the best of its kind"

It performs better and recovers more data than tens of software I've trialled. Another free software on this site recognised only 50% of what this software recognised on my broken microSD. Not bad for a software that cost less than $100.
Cons
On the FREE TRIAL version, it gave the impression that it could recover ALL data on my broken microSD, so I proceed to get the PAID version which COULDN'T recover some of the badly corrupted data.
Summary
The FREE TRIAL version can only recover 32kb worth of data (too bad - other free software offer as much as 1GB). The PAID version works better than any other similar software I've trialled. At the end of the day, the question becomes: "is it worth $70 to recover SOME of your precious memories?". For me personally, I don't mind paying less than $100 for such software.
