eMail Verifier

Publisher's Description

From Maxprog:

eMail Verifier can save time and money for businesses who send newsletters to their clients, nonprofit organizations who send bulletins to their members, or any person or business that needs to maintain a clean e-mail contact list. eMail Verifier is your powerful solution for the standard "message delivery error." Email Verifier verifies every e-mail address from a given mailing list, allowing you to determine 80-90% of "dead" email addresses.

What's new in this version: Version 3.6 has new money flow statement and money flow summary reports and fixed the import from a bank statement now automatically handles dates with only two digits.

"Money Better Spent on a Service"

    December 22, 2011  |   By Corn_Niblets

    Version: eMail Verifier 3.6

    Pros

I was able to upload a CSV

    Cons

Resulted in a High Bounce Rate
    Marked Good Email Adresses Bad
    No CSV Export
Cannot determine if AOL, Yahoo or Gmail addresses are bad
Tested Against an Actual Email Service and had 0% accuracy. I repeat 0%

    Summary

I understand that software cannot usually determine all the addresses but I was hoping for at least 70-90% as many cleansing "services" can promise. I would have even been OK with 50% but this was at a straight up donut. It's very disappointing especially since there is zero chance of getting my money back. I've since been in contact with reputable data cleansers. They have been far more helpful and explained their methodologies. If your reputation is on the line I would stay away from this type of software and pay the experts to protect it. Of course, Double opt-in is always best but not always possible with a new client.
