Pros
It took me a while to figure out how to use YouTube Movie Maker, and, since the features are limited (see Cons), I didn't see the point of trying anything more complex, such as adding text, assuming that's even possible.
Cons
Screen designed for high-res (i.e., small footprint), but I have a low-res screen, and found it difficult to view. However, I made the attempt, and after adding 2 video files totalling about 1-1/2 hours, I tried to save it, but YouTube Movie Maker said that the free edition can go only up to 5 minutes. To be fair, it does say that features are limited in the free version.
Summary
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to add a couple of video files, but it's a little clunky and hard to use (I have Windows Movie Maker and other, similar, video editing software). When I discovered that I couldn't save my work, I removed the program from my computer.

Pros
many video and audio editing functions, many effects and transitions, very easy to use. the multiple videos/pictures overlay function is so cool, and the built-in lyrics maker is so cool, with it i made very cool lyrics videos, slideshow videos, amvs, like it so much, recommend.
Cons
free edition no watermark, but limits some advanced features.
Summary
This is a very good software for every youtuber, recommend.
