  This application never worked, it deos display error messages, and I cannot remove it or un-install it, as it does not apppear in the add/remove software list. It has all the features of a virus. I might have to rebuild my computer to get rid of it.

  Okay, first of all, I must say, I agree with the last message from curboy1 and I'm going to try to stay as calm as I can and avoid getting upset to write down what happened to me after I installed this f---er. I installed it, half way through installation my virus software Avira told me it had a trojan. I chose to delete it. The program was still installed. When I tried logging in for the first time, just like what curboy1 has said, this f---er told me I needed to upgrade. I decided to take it off my pc. I uninstalled it, went to my real windows live messenger to sign in to chat with my friends. I COULD NO LONGER SIGN IT, KHALID WAS SO MEAN, WHEN II UNINSTALLED IT, I KILLED MY REAL WLMESSENGER, TOO!!!!!!! AND I GOT ERROR 8000FFFF, and if any of you guys here know what it means, you can understand how hard it is to fix it. (try google it or having it once and u will see) I almost thought about reformattting my pc just get my real WLmessenger back because I could no longer work it nor uninstall it. I had to spend an hour searching on the internet for instructions how to uninstall the real WLmessenger just so I could reinstall it to fix the error. That f----er destroyed everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And like what curboy1 has said, I'm angry, angry now at download.com, F---K this website, no way in the future will I trust your f----king no spyware no virus f---king clain. F----K U DOWNLOAD.COM U ARE A LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG LIAR, FOR ANYONE WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE WHAT I'M SAYING, TRY THIS F---CKING SOFTWARE YOURSELF JUST TO SEE WHAT I MEAN.   Ok here is what i did: 1- I downloaded this version 2- installed it 3- as soon as i typed in my Username and Pwd, i got prompted that a newer version exist and i MUST upgrade. clicked on the link provided then the mess started, couple windows opened and a popup windows Pop'd up with a message "... ih ave something to show you ..." and asking to to click OK or cancel if want to open this page or "OK" to continue, this is a very basic SPyware techinique. Thinking i am SMART, i cliked on "X" but still other windows opened, after that all i did is Forced a SHUTdown on my PC, before my PC gets infected. Maybe this is too late and i am really worried about my msn Pwd now and i have to change it. I trusted downloads.com that they said no spyware, but i was wrong, i am really upset and not considering downloads.com as a reliable site anymore.

  Pros

  I used it because Live products now refuse to install on Windows Server systems (Dec 2007). Windows Live Messenger Khalid Edition still installs.

  Cons

  The Sharing Folders feature has not worked since I installed the app 24 hours ago. Is the Microsoft service down? Is this feature *now* incompatible with Windows server, or is this feature simply broken in this special edition?

  It adds lots of intersting settings, sounds, and tweaks to the regular messenger, so if you love playing it's your game!

  Cons

  It's not exactly easy for a blind person to use and takes some adjusting, or thought to settup. Regular messenger is straight forward, but then.
