This extensive network monitoring tool throws in almost every standard function, but while installation is quick and easy, it takes some time to become familiar with all it offers. WinManager's primary interface is businesslike, but still requires a visit to the Help file. Be prepared to spend significant time just taking this program's extensive suite of tools for a test drive. In a nutshell, WinManager is a network administrator that monitors almost everything users do on their PCs. Installing WinManager's agent software on your client PCs and the Manager software on your own takes just a couple of minutes. There's a built-in viewer to watch screenshots of client desktops, and you can track what software is used across the network, with reports available in list, chart, or graph format. Reports are easily collated and exported into HTML files. The Manager also can easily access system hardware and software details of client PCs. Selected actions are performed almost instantaneously, and most have single-click access. Our only disappointment was that WinManager's URL tracker didn't automatically update addresses entered in Internet Explorer or Firefox for the Daily URL report. Despite this one missing feature, system administrators looking for simple installation, powerful monitoring tools, and ease-of-use will greatly appreciate this software.
