1. Super light. Hardly takes 5-7 MB of RAM!!! Unbelievable!!!
2. Efficient way of implementing cloud protection.
3. Protects by blocking and re-scans after removing infections.
4. Really liked the way the programme integrates with windows firewall. Why to disable an already installed programme if you can make use of it instead!!! Excellent job there!!!Cons
1. I tried to infect the computer by some trojans and the likes from "malwaredomainlist" and it seems to be allowing certain malwares that a lot of other very average anti-viruses detected/blocked. But still the system was never compromised.
2. The fact that it is super light itself might make others believe that it is not a good product!!! But it is really a good product.
3. If it is purely cloud based, how well will it protect me if I am offline for two or three days!!!
4. Firewall is not detected by the security centre!!! Though both windows firewall and Webroot firewall work together in-tandem, I would still like the security centre detect the webroot firewall as well.Summary
Really good product. Excellent start for a product; but still a loooong way to go.
Need to be more "convincing" to attract more costumers, I guess... The web page for download does not illustrate how differently the programme actually works compared to other existing ones... -

The best thing about Webroot SecureAnywhere is the fact that it relies on the cloud for updates. As soon as Webroot classify a new virus, all users globally are instantly protected without having to download any updates.
This drastically limits the potential window of exposure to new malware.
Don't be fooled by other products - they might tell you that they've detected a virus, but they don't tell you that the virus has been sitting on your machine for 30 days stealing all of your data, and they've only just written an update for it. -

it blocked svchost.exe in its firewall, and all sround sucks, just look at any computer magazine reviews, or just use it for yourself and find out the hard way

how can an antivirus thats any good block a critical windows process? its retarded, thats how. Im an IT guy, specifically troubleshooting, and webroot is ****, and this just proves it. and who ever put webroot on the computer is a moron. (yes even if bestbuy did it)

Didn't cause any BSODs or other serious problems on my PC while in use
Cons
The program prevented me from shutting down my PC properly (it stuck on the logging off screen). I had to force shutdowns with the on/off switch.
Summary
Save your money and avoid this software. I've gone back to Microsoft Security Essentials as that works without any problems and comes at a great price (free).

I download Webroot and installed in the normal procedure. After installing I ran a full scan of my system. After the scan it showed 18 files (most were in system32 and were .dll's) infected with some kind of virus. So I clicked quarantine. Tomorrow when I booted my computer my computer showed error missing .dll files.
I sent an email through my other laptop to the tech. They said I deleted those files and Webroot had nothing to do with it .The only way to restore then is by installing the OS again.
Kaspersky is much more better. It though slows down my computer a bit but has a far more better detection rate then Webroot. I insist everyone to download another antivirus NOT THIS PLEASE OF JUNK. -

No telling who has my personal and banking information out there thanks to this "program". The Webroot folks may get upset at this review but I could care less. They need to go back to the drawing board. Never, ever again will I buy this product.
