We admire WebAction's reliability and ease of use, despite its limited functionality. This macro program for Windows XP simply records and replays your actions in Internet Explorer. It might, for example, automatically log on to a mail account, fill out a long form, download a file, or refresh a site at scheduled intervals. The program worked smoothly in our tests, and we found its interface intuitive. It adds an attractive Explorer bar to IE, with Record, Play, and Stop buttons and a folder tree of macros. Other features include the ability to place shortcuts on the desktop and to directly edit WebAction's XML files. Surprisingly, WebAction does not support hot keys, which seems like a major oversight. However, if you want a simple yet efficient tool for Web automation, WebAction fits the bill.

  "Nice software - but company is out of business!"

  Pros: - A good web automation software (we tested it early 2006)

  - Had serious problems with complicated websites that iMacros automated without a hitch

  Cons: - OUT OF BUSINESS (therefore the one-star rating)

  Copasetic Software is no longer in business.
