The publishers of this Web image capture tool mention a screen as its trial limitation, and boy, they weren't kidding. Everywhere we turned a nag screen appeared. But no matter, we were unable to get the program to work anyway.

Web Picture Snatch Ripper wastes no time by introducing a nag screen at the start of the program. Its main user interface design is a bit sophomoric in design, but the layout is pretty straightforward. As we browsed the Web, the page link appeared in the Web address field. We clicked the search button and the program quickly listed the files found in what it refers to as the que list (misspellings were common). From there, we clicked on the snatch button. After bypassing yet another nag screen, we were taken to the second user interface which was extremely cluttered and not at all intuitive. The program returned a cryptic error message stating that the source path was too long and it could not download the images. We returned to the main interface, after receiving another nag screen, to try again. We had the same results every time.

The constant nag screen, cluttered user interface, and poor performance are all reason to stay far away from this IE add-on. We were able to cleanly uninstall it from our PC.

Publisher's description

From Wolfgang Software :

This Web page picture/movie ripper uses T-Sort technology to automatically snatch all of the full size images & videos from TGP picture gallery sites. Use Web snatch rather than click every individual thumbnail and then have to manually save and rename each file. This handy computer program saves and renames an endless supply of JPEG, BMP, GIF pictures along with MPEG, WMV, and AVI movies in a very short time from Thumbnail Gallery Post Web sites. Other great features include: Easily save favorite pictures and movies in different categories. Quickly view image or video shows of saved favorites when you want. Conveniently watch a slide show in real time while downloading images from TGP Web pages. Use this time saving software for automatic downloading of Web page media.

Web Snatch was designed around IE browser and works wonderfully as a Web browser companion to Windows Internet Explorer. Version 2.4 includes unspecified updates.
