WAMP+CMS in minutes!

Pros
I've installed Apache, MySQL, and PHP manually under both Windows and Linux numerous times in the past. As I set up my new home computer, I wanted a quick and easy solution for an informal presentation I would be giving tomorrow. I was up and running in about twenty minutes (and that was mostly reading the readme information, taking a few notes, etc.)

Good initial help explains in simple terms what must be done before starting and after the installation is complete.

Read the instructions the wizard presents!!!

Includes PHPMyAdmin (but must be selected manually.)

Will optionally install various CMS systems including phpBB, Drupal, Joomla, mediaWiki, and WordPress. The installer nicely tells you exactly which versions it intends to install. Will also optionally install support for SSL, Apache Tomcat, ASP.NET module, Perl, and Analog.

Finally, after installation, you are directed to an information page localhost/webdeveloper that gives you details and links to all the components it installed. This mini site also includes sections on how to further secure the installed components for a production environment.
Cons
None so far.

If it's your first time installing a WAMP stack, you really should do it the hard way (each application individually.) You'll learn a lot in setting it up. If you're in a hurry or just want to set up a development environment quickly, this is a nice alternative.
