    "Great free (for 2techs) trouble ticket app (and more!)"

    Pros

    A great free (for 1-2 techs) trouble ticket system with added capabilities of media (etc) reservations, asset mgmt, customer log in, automatic trouble ticket creation from emails. It rums as a web app so can be potentially accessed from anywhere.

    Cons

    You need some degree of proficiency with IIS and computers in general to set it up. Takes 1-2 hours to set up although the instructions were very good. You also need a machine that can be used as a web-server (I'm using a laptop running XP Pro).

    Summary

    A great configurable trouble ticket system. Free for 2 techs. Annual support fees and initial licensing fees if > 2 techs (although unlimited number of customers can use the system from the Customer+Center).

    "Ideal for IT Help Desk, CRM, simple, speedy, low cost."

    Pros

    Web software but as responsive as a local application, simple, full featured for IT Help Desk or Service Desk. Immediate impact - you can be up and running in an hour and immediately saves time and work. Excellent support and documentation.

    Cons

    When you first install, you'll need to follow directions carefully. As long as you do that you're fine but it's not intuitively obvious.

    Summary

    This software is extremely straight forward for managing IT help desk or customer service and maintenance. Performance is great. It has the full set of features I need for my IT help desk but it is simple. Also very useful for CRM and managing maintenance work orders / preventive maintenance. Very responsive tech support. No pressure when you evaluate. Free download or just use the trial software on their web site. Way cheaper than similar products yet also faster.

    "Very complete Help Desk Software Package "

    Pros

    Web+Center is an amazing suite of help desk and customer self-service software package that we have used for free for many years for our 2 techs and now running version 6.0. It doesn't time out or limited by number of customers or cases we use with the system. This system is perfect for small (2-8 persons) IT shops or internal organizations.

    Cons

    This software requires some basic proficiency in setting up and configuring websites using IIS on a Windows box. Plan to spend 30-60 minutes installing and configuring it but well worth the time.

    "Not too Modern"

    Pros

    For the free version it has 3 Tech support users, it works with IIS and is windows and linux based.

    Cons

    Not very cute in the look and could use some more usable functions and easier to read and configure.

    "Only Recommended For Total Tech. Freaks"

    Pros

    Sounds like a good application for corporate offices and other similar institutes. Also provides a desent limitation for those who do not wish to pay $675.

    Cons

    I could not figure out how to use it (and im generally a computer freak). Very expensive for what it is if you want to pay for it!

    "A excellent product!"

    Summary

    We downloaded and effortlessly installed the free version two years ago. Since then we have grown and paid for the five-user version. We had tried Track-it and some other products, but for ease of use and price, Web+Center was hard to beat. The company has always been very helpful (including the time yours truly killed access with MS Lockdown Tool). I would definitely recommend this product to others who need a practical web-based help desk system with nice reporting features.

    "Good value comprehensive package"

    Summary

    After download & install had to specify a couple of virtual directories for ISS Server (as per included documentation) then it ran "out of the box".

    Covers CRM (Help Desk), Asset Tracking, Case Mgmt, Auto Escalation and a couple of Mgmt reports. Also a nice wireless interface for roving tech-support people with Pocket PC's. Knowledge Base also a nice feature.

    Easily adaptable as ASP source code provided. Covers its business domain at a fraction of the cost of "the big packages".

    "Couldn't Install"

    Summary

    I followed all their *badly structured* documentation for install and it didn't work... I even bothered to submit one specific question about the install to their online support... I never heard back. such is life... but don't waste your time with this product.
