This one-trick pony only converts your WAV files into MP3 format, but at least it's totally free. WAV to MP3 Encoder works quickly, and the interface is simple: just drag and drop files directly from Windows Explorer. However, as its name suggest, the application doesn't support other audio formats the way more comprehensive programs do. Also, though you can of course choose the bit rate of your new audio files, you won't find a VBR option. However, if you're looking for a way to compress WAV files in the MP3 format and your jukebox of choice lacks conversion skills, this application makes an acceptable, if somewhat medicore, option.Publisher's description
