CNET Editors' review
This stripped-down freeware from Microsoft effectively deletes user profiles, but it is a commandiline only tool. User Profile Deletion Utility uses command-line switches and prompts to guide users through program operation. A single page Help file will give experienced users the proper information to use this tool.
Operating User Profile Deletion Utility is a mere matter of following prompts, or you can set it in quiet mode to automatically delete all profiles without confirmation. Quiet mode is best used in conjunction with the offered option to delete only inactive profiles. Another option deletes only roaming profiles. All functions operate quickly. Inexperienced users may accidentally delete a profile by typing ahead. There is no method to recover a profile deleted with this tool. Following a simple format it's also easy to use this tool to delete profiles on networked systems.
The command-line interface aspect of this tool may scare away inexperienced users, but all others will find this tool easy to use and very efficient.
Publisher's Description
From Microsoft:
This is a command-line utility that you can use to delete user profiles on local or remote computers. User profiles can become large and may take up considerable disk space, especially if there are several users using one computer. Because of this, you may want to use Delprof.exe to free disk space by deleting profiles that are no longer required. However, because each profile on the computer is presented in order when you run the utility, you may want to use the graphical interface instead of the command-line tool whenever possible.
