Publisher's Description
From Strategy First:
You play an Uplink agent who makes a living by performing jobs for major corporations. Your tasks involve hacking into rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging other companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, or framing innocent people. You use the money you earn to upgrade your computer systems and to buy new software and tools. As your experience level increases, you find more dangerous and profitable missions become available. You can speculate on a fully working stock market (and even influence its outcome). You can modify people's academic or criminal records. You can divert money from bank transfers into your own accounts. You can even take part in the construction of the most deadly computer virus ever designed.

"totally awesome!!!!!!!!!"
Version: Uplink: Hacker Elite 1
Pros
i love this game--too bad it's only a demo. i got to figure out how to hack into banks and steal money but the demo runs out at that point. the music is cool too. you never get bored of it. i recorded the songs and put it on my ipod so now i listen to it everywhere. the display looks tight and i love it. i think i am going to buy the actual game.
Cons
its a demo.

"Attention /!\"
Version: Uplink: Hacker Elite 1
Pros
good shaped begining
Cons
it uses 100% from processor (CPU usage )
,i dont know what this game about but iam afraid to be not just a game , i think it is really hacking tool but to
your own system !!!
screen have been altered so much , i noticed using 100 % from cpu by pressing alt + ctrl + del ,, so simply it can crash your processor.

"Buggy but cool"
Version: Uplink: Hacker Elite 1
Pros
It is a heart pumping expierience, definitely not the way hackers do it , but fun non the less. It gives the player a basic understanding of how the internet works and makes you want to look over your shoulder whenever the "A popup has been blocked" warning comes up!
Cons
4 Levels on demo or 1 hour gameplay.
IF I really had to go and amplify my stupidity id have to say the tutorial is "hard-to-grasp" wink-wink .

Pros
Man quite an addictive game. very interesting to play. worth a download.

Demo version just not enough to get the hang of the game.by the time u really start enjoying the game u reach the stage where demo ends. Also after a certain amount of time the monotony gets the better of u.

"Serious Problems"
Version: Uplink: Hacker Elite 1
Pros
It seemed like a resonably good game ...If it worked properly. Would not recomend downloading simply because it is a waste of time.
Cons
It ran perfectly until the tutorial with large red area's appearing covering the majority of the screen making the test mission impossible. An unknown error message came up telling me to contact an email adress to sort out the problem however when i emailed them there was an instant reply saying they had moved and didnt leave any useful contact details.
