  Well this was a whole lot of no fun. I expect a CHM reader to actually read the file. Buuuuut no. I'm just starting to read e-books. So far, I have exactly one e-book file. I tried FB Reader, which does work. I can read the e-book and FB Reader will remember the last page I looked at, but it does not do bookmarks. And bookmarks are every so handy. I like to make notes on which days I read each chapter. So I tried Ultra CHM. First off, it does not have a command or button to open a file. I have to do drag and drop. And that's such a basic thing, open the file. I can see the table of contents in the left panel, but no matter what I do, the pages do not display in the right panel. I just keep seeing a vague and bland error message that reads - The page can not be displayed. I know the problem is not with the e-book, since I can read it just fine and dandy with FB Reader. If you can get Ultra CHM to work, please post a review. You could try FB Reader; just remember it does not do bookmarks. There are also a few programs to convert CHM files to PDF format, but I haven't found a free one. For now, I'll just type notes about my progress through the book.
