  Can't format USB in ntfs format. Not able to run in a fat/fat32 drive. Total failure.

  Size small and fast, but the program should be developed.

  Free software works pretty well albeit limited to 2GB drives.

  Cons

  Pay close attention when considering the paid version. Licenses are per "USB device." This may seem clear from the website today, but when I purchased my license the developer had a popup on the website indicated that purchasing a license that day would give you a license for two COMPUTERS, not two USB devices. Since English is a second language in this situation, the developer probably meant it would cover two USB drives, not two computers, but I purchased based on what was said, not what I had no way of knowing was intended. Now I am stuck with ONE USB drive I can us, and can't activate a second one (I reformatted my second USB and now the activation is failing per his clunky licensing method.

  Summary

  Use the free version, but avoid the paid version unless and until this developer fixes this clunky activation. If the popup add indicated licenses were per USB device, I would have kept looking. This solution is too problematic for the price.

  Can only protect 2GB worth of files.

  I used this software to protect important data on an USB stick. After using it for some weeks, I now cannot access the stick anymore. Windows reports it as un-formatted. The writer mentions this in the FAQ on his site, but offers NO support at all. I have tried several times to contact them but they are ignoring my plea for help.

  Pros

  Using purchased 6.0 version. I just wanted something easy to use to keep my flash drive secure. This utility opens the folders on a flash drive with a password and then you close the drive with the same password. It is like using a key to open your house when you go in and then using the key to lock up when you leave. I have it working on a Team drive and a Kingston drive. I had a little problem restoring the program when I reformatted the Team drive after I initially had it working (my fault). I used the customer support on the USB Safeguard website and they helped me get it fixed right away.

• Don't waste your money..

  When it works...works ok..pain in the butt to enter your password twice each time rather than just have it encrypt on ejection

  Cons

  Is glitchy as all getout. One minute it's registered and working fine and the next minute, it says your registration code is not valid. I think it somehow verifies the registration online rather than just basing it off the serial number of the device.
