If you're on the hunt for a good spyware remover, Trend Micro is a solid choice with some extra features that make it an even sweeter deal. A clean and simple interface makes it easy to understand how to use the program right away, and extensive help is only a click away when anything is not immediately apparent.
The scan time for this tool is among the fastest in our tests, and malware threats are identified and removed with ease. We like the added features for cleaning your Web cache and cookies. The document shredder for files you want permanantly deleted is another nice touch. This program also features a real-time detection feature called Venus Spy Trap that alerts you to threats as they try to connect, but we found it to be a bit of a memory hog--though perhaps that's the price you pay for full protection.
Overall, we think Trend Micro Anti-spyware would make a good second choice (we recommend two) for your antispyware arsenal.

"great protection but too heavy"
Pros: easy to use, much better than the old pc-cillin which was like being in a postbox and better detection
Cons: too heavy. I mean y 143mb to install and super-hungry

"It's good and simple, but too average"
Pros: the quick scans are really fast !!!.
Cons: it updates every time you turn on. makes you uninstall all other antivirus

Pros: Extremely good at catching virus' and the like. Liked the firewall as far as that goes
anti-spyware works good, but I have a concern (discussed below)Cons: Full version says its not compatible with Spybot Search and destroy and makes you uninstall it. I reinstall Spybot after, and it keeps finding the spyware Zedo. I don't know if trend micro is putting it on there or not.
Summary: Real good antivirus and firewall. And I'm not saying that it puts Zedo spyware on your computer, because I have no proof that it is. But if it is, I'm disappointed. And if it isn't, how come the built-in antispyware is not catching it? Perhaps ... read more >>

"Good when I trialled it, awful once I'd paid"
Pros: A superb level of protection when all's well, runs in the background discreetly, the firewall seems to sort things out for itself without constantly asking nagging questions, the scans and updates are quick and unobtrusive.
Cons: Slows things down quite noticeably, but liveable with. Impossible if it develops a fault.
Summary: It was superb when I trialled it, and I really appreciated the high level of protection with very little fuss. As soon as I bought the full version it developed a fault which made the main console inaccessible. Every remedy suggested by the support ... read more >>
