mdv88keys
Pros
Supports torrent and magnet links.
Supports DHT
Great online support for optimization.
Ad-free
Cons
It's not the most obvious UI.
Summary
Great program! Does exactly what it's supposed to without any mess. You can watch files come in, you can keep track of bandwith and throttle, you can watch keep track of DHT... it's an amazing piece of software that I would recommend to anyone. Trouble with its UI disappears after a few uses and its online support. I have never had a problem using this software after a few minutes of poking around to see what different settings do.

Updated on Apr 18, 2014
Addition -- for me, worked right "out of the box."

Pros
Ad free
Junk free
Fast
Highly configurable
Great filters
Cons
Took me 10 minutes to figure out
Summary
I used Bittorrent for years, then they started dumping junk in my bandwidth and feeding me ads, moved to uTorrent for a couple of years, which after an update started doing the same thing... So I searched for a better application. Tixati is a great client, fast and displays accurate information, rather than just guesses and junk windows, bloatware and adware. I find it does exactly what I need, downloads torrents to the folders that I want and restricts allows access/bandwidth when and where I want.
For those who list the blocky user interface as a con, well that's just very short sighted. It's not taking up system resources with graphics that are completely unnecessary, it is in fact a pro. It's not a video game after all.
Piece of Crap.
Constipated02
Pros
-No viruses, malwares, trackers or horses as I could see.
-Usable on Linux... to a degree
-No ads... again, to a degree
-No more that I can see
Cons
-Horrible UI
-Complex interface, use if you are ADVANCED
-Double the time of uTorrent download (on same torrent)
-VERY large download
-Hard to adjust to (coming from another torrent software)
-For me, takes longer to load and much more start-up impact
-Uses a hell-a lot of CPU, effectively slowing your computer down to shit. No background processes for you! :(
Summary
No. Just, no. It's just a piece of crap. I put a a torrent (an episode of South Park) on Tixati, stop-watched at 16:09 minutes. uTorrent, 8:04. I can't play Deus Ex or anything else pretty much while this is downloading in the background, it practically makes my computer shit itself. I felt the heater on my computer, and I got burnt (running Alienware 14 laptop)! Best thing to do with this is hit Z or R twice and barrel roll the fuck out of here. This torrent software really isn't worth the download, as the freaking download is HUGE! About.com featured it as the 'second best torrent software', but they openly admitted that they got paid for that, and About.com is a shit site in itself. Advice? DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. You have no excuse not to use Transmission, Vuze, uTorrent or ANYTHING else than to use this.
1.5 stars. This is a piece of crap.
Just moved from uTorrent. Improvement, esp in speed.
jkirk1626
Pros
Fast, clean. No crapware hidden. Your bandwidth isn't wasted on ads and shady shenanigans running in the background that slow your system, data flow, and your actual download. Download. You remember: the actual reason you got a torrent and magnet client to begin with?
Cons
The interface is slightly less polished than uTorrent but it is as easy to use in my opinion. uTorrent has hotkey shortcuts that Tixati lacks. Tixati requires a lot of clicks where uTorrent would auto-fill. Cumulatively, Tixati's speed will more than compensate contrasted with uTorrent. Still, though, that's room for improvement. Pulling in magnet link meta data n better than uTorrent, though the actual download is much faster.
Summary
Tixati's speeds are in the 500 kb per second range, regularly running into the 600s. With uTorrent, reaching into the 300s briefly was impressive. This was testing the same content from the same source, on the same connection. That's because uTorrent uses your data to pump in crap ads instead of delivering your content.
The Pros of Tixati are the pros uTorrent used to have and what made uTorrent to famous. uTorrent dumped those good traits long ago to become the bloated not-to-be-completely-trusted app it's become.
Tixati seem to be clean, mean and fast.
Fantastic! No adverts like the utorrent !
MeowWws
Pros
No adverts,
fast downloads,
no nonsense,
Cons
Cannot stop all torrent and delete them with mouse cursor.
Summary
In short, if you hate the current stage of utorrent giving you tons of advertisement and slow downloads, download this!
Good but Privacy Concerns
craigminah
Pros
Built-in IPBlocker, lots of controls, simple
Cons
Caught sending SSL email (port 995) to unknown URL without user intervention.
Summary
After using a few years trashed Tixati due to privacy concerns.
Very good but could be better
craigminah
Pros
Built-in IP blocklist, no ancillary "features", works great
Cons
Watch list folder doesn't work, UI is sluggish
Summary
This is the best alternative to uTorrent I could find; the built-in IP blocklist sold me.
Works better than other p2p I've used.
wolf_emperor
Pros
Very fast and a lot of different settings that advanced users can mess with.
Cons
Complicated to use and ugly UI.
Summary
If you are an advanced user, this is a great program and has a lot of settings that can be messed around with and changed. It also seems to work slightly better than other torrenting programs than I have used in the past such as bitcomet and utorrent. The program however isn't the prettiest, and if you are not an advanced user, it might have to many settings and other things that have to be set. If you are one of these people, I would stick with programs like utorrent which is my 2nd favorite P2P program.
