Summary
These are my impressions after running TinyEdit from a USB stick a few times. I should add that I use EditPad Lite on a daily basis to write text for my sites (and this comment) and Crimson Editor, mostly for CSS files. The pros I mentioned speak for themselves. I'm a big fan of portable software so that is a big plus to me. Also a big plus is the syntax highlighting for many languages. The tabbed interface means you can have more than one file open which of course is very useful for copy-paste actions when editing. I disliked the fact that you can't choose a font, and you have to click wordwrap every time you open a new file. And what's with that vertical line? It does not split the screen or anything; when you type text it goes right through it. It's not only unnecessary, it's also very annoying. Also, the program does not remember when you resize its window. TinyEdit may come in handy when you take it with you on a USB-stick, but for me it is not going to replace the software I am using now.
