In the battle for PC golf supremacy, Microsoft's Links series sets a high standard, with loads of customization and stunning graphics. Although Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 doesn't quite deliver the same amount of features or polygons as Links, it's a very well designed golf game that offers fast and fun gameplay.The demo features holes 16, 17, and 18 of the Bethpage Black golf course. Although graphics are improved from 2003, they're nothing especially noteworthy, and grass and trees still look a little flat. Less detailed graphics equal lower system requirements, however, and animations of Tiger continue to be excellent. Whether he's pumping his fists after sinking a long putt, clutching his chest after a close miss, or snatching his club in anger after a bad drive, they're all impressive imitations that draw you into the excitement. The putting system feels much more intuitive than 2003, and easily accessible views from anywhere on the hole are another nice addition.
