Version: The Shield Deluxe 2009 2.0
"Stopped Functioning/No Tech Support Response"
Pros: In hindsight, zilch.
Cons: I don't like that it stopped working correctly. I don't like that there was no explanation of what error messages meant or how to fix the problems. I don't like not being able to contact tech support or get a response to an email. I wasted $60.
Summary: 1) Error messages saying my update files were corrupted with no explanation as to what that meant or how to fix problem.
2) Incorrect pop up message saying that my product had expired and that I should buy an update or another security software... read more >> -

Pros: 2008 worked really well.
Cons: 2009 has been a problem since day one. The last update, slowed the computer down so bad we thought it was going to crash. Bought a new computer transferred the shield over and still have the problem. Cannot switch users without logging one off.
Summary: continued from "Cons", According to the tech and our local computer tech, Shield Deluxe is aware of this problem. We had help from your tech support (which he was very knowledgeable), he did the long distance assist and walked through all the remov... read more >>

Version: The Shield Deluxe 2009 2.0
Pros: I can't think of a single pro
Cons: After only 2 to 3 months I started getting a warning that my subscription had expired even though I had paid for 3 yrs! I have emailed and called over and over with not a single response. This was a total waste of money!!!
Summary: I paid for 3 yrs protection (best buy ha!) but every 2 or 3 days the program says my subscription expired. It did not start doing this until after the 90 days that I could request my refund from PayPal had expired, and no amount of money is worth p... read more >>
