Though this program offers some interesting features, The Popup Stopper Wizard doesn't achieve its main goal in full. On first launch, the software opens a configuration window so you can tweak its settings. The program has several nice features, including one that lets you enter a blacklist of words that will cause the software to block any pop-ups containing those words. Another innovative feature refuses Internet Explorer windows that don't have title bars, ideal for blocking many ad windows. Moreover, you can limit the number of windows Internet Explorer can open on your desktop. On the negative side, the program opens pop-ups briefly before closing them. In our testing, The Popup Stopper Wizard even missed some pop-ups that contained words such as "sex" and "casino." Home users curious about The Popup Stopper Wizard's unusual options or just unsatisfied with their current blocker should try this program.
