This flexible, robust browser does a stellar job of helping you keep track of multiple open windows.
Tablane Browser has a versatile and clever tabbed design that allows you to view multiple Web pages simultaneously-- not just one at a time, as other tabbed browsers do. There are more function buttons along the browser bar than just the usual ones to minimize/maximize and close; these extra buttons allow you to control the number of open windows, expand or reduce those windows, and navigate the browser.
The interface may be confusing at first, because it is organized differently than other browsers, but it became quite familiar after a few minutes of use. Tablane, which is free, comes bundled with an app named TClipper, which has only a 30-day trial. TClipper is a content management tool that may be of particular interest to researchers or anyone who has copied and pasted info from a Web page into a Word document. It allows you to "clip" and save Web pages (or portions) in user-defined files. By organizing the files in the way you use them, they're easy to access and employ. You can browse, search, and e-mail the clipped files easily.
We found both Tablane and TClipper to be handy additions to our Web tools. Users at any level should find Tablane Browser with TClipper very worthwhile.
Publisher's description
From Tablane Technology :Tablane Browser is the only tabbed, 'parallel' browser, allowing you to interact with more than one Web site at once. It is fast and completely free. Multiple search engines are built into the browser. There are tab position switches to maximise usage of the screen area.
CNET Editor's Note: In version 1.8.1 build 1080 the Tablane Browser comes bundled with a Web content management tool, called TClipper. This allows Web pages to be cut and pasted into 'Collections', which are HTML documents that can easily be browsed, searched, tagged and e-mailed. TClipper has a 30-day trial, and thereafter costs $29.00 to license. With just a few clicks, you can use Tablane Publisher (which comes free with TClipper) to publish and share TClipper content via a web server or shared drive.
