Have used for years on XP with no problems.
Simply won't install on W7, 64 bit OS.
sorry but i can't see anything good on this one, can't recommend it, unless if it's an idea to search similar softwares without ads and ****.
i don't advise you to install this, the display in having an error in the height, and a small blank line, stays ugly unless you change the background color to one very similar to the task bar, i did, but the problem is that this software is having spam that appears, ads, and a search bar that is being installed in the browser, not easily removable, cause it has no button on it do do it, i only could remove it cause i randomly consulted the process manager, rarely done by others, and noticed there was a program there working that i didn't recognized (very difficult to common or most users that don't do this often to kill processes, called "tab default", when i was restarting my browser then i noticed the ugly search bar that was appearing from the instalation of this program, i also went to check my extensions to see if i could remove it and i only recognized or noticed an extension called "tab default" cause i had seen the process running on my process manager before, cause i have tons of tabs extensions installed, bu i wasn't sure the one wasn't one of mine, i checked the settings of that one and says open new search in the tab and one more option like that, so i was assuming it was one of my own and just a regular tab extension, this is hidden, disguised and tricky, with lack of truth and info, but since i wasn't being able to uninstall the search bar that came along with the tclockex, i tried to disable this one extension, "tab default", to see if this disguised had something to do with it or was in fact the hidden add on to the ugly and unwanted search bar, and that did the trick, it was indeed, and removed the search bar when i restarted the browser again, so i don't advise you to install this program cause is deceiving, also pop ads were appearing on my desktop, once again deceiving, cause appeared with the look of a windows needed update saying that exactly, so i don't this this software even should be here in this site, gives bad name to the site and reputation, because of the lack of security and deceiving, the problem is not the design, but the rest misleading the users.well, take the pros and cons and decide for yourself, i see it's popular to some people, i don't advise it and now you have all the info you need, one more thing,i changed the date and time format display (to 12:53 31.05.2013) and now the month (mm) was changing along with the change of seconds in the clock,go figure, staying equal/with the same number that the seconds on display, despite the fact that i had the option in the software to fix this enabled ("remember month option", crazy way to fix a bug) and despite the fact that when you open the calendar the month is displaying ok and with the correct and present month, but not in the short date on the task bar, very stupid and poor and deceiving and ****** software if you ask me, tons of errors and probably just an ads displayer disguised as software, shouldn't even be here.
Upon installing this program Microsoft Security essentials immediately popped up with a security threat warning. I ran the remove, which was successful. The details were: "Adware:Win32/InfoAtoms"
Losing faith in cnet downloads as this was guaranteed 100% spyware and virus free. Or do those two categories not include adware? Perhaps its my mistake?
It is my companion since windows 95 until this one 97. I have the calendar and clock formated at5 my will.
None as i know
very good program and easy to set up, but pleasee see the cons on this.
After downloading to win 7, msg reads: Could not load in allocated time.
how and what is wrong?
Can be customized to show time and date in a great variety of formats, fonts, sizes and colors.
This is an old program, so I wonder if rewriting the code could not improve it. Maybe, maybe not.
The title says it all: "Free Tray Clock - Attractive and Compact."

I wish it could display two time zones, one above the other.
not a resource hog, simple, reliable.
a little hard to get background color to match windows color.
Have used it for decades. Tried others, Keep coming back to TClockEx.
