Though we would have liked to have seen a longer trial period, this Vista tweaking utility offered a solid performance that left us wanting more.
Systerac Tools for Vista's user interface is very simple and conducive for novices. The tweaking features are broken down into three categories--Optimize, Clean and Repair, and Tools. Features include disk defragmenter, a disk and registry cleaner, and even a file shredder. We were a little turned off by the nag screen that appeared each time a tweaking command was clicked, but we soon got over it once we witnessed its output. The Registry Doctor quickly seized invalid files, and with one click, the files were repaired. Likewise, the Disk Cleaner, and Disk Doctor removed files and cleaned hard disk space. There was one feature that we weren't too keen on, and that was the OneClick Optimization tool, which can be accessed through the main interface or through a desktop shortcut. We found it incredibly slow, and on several occasions, it froze completely and we had to close it. But no matter, there are so many other tweaking options that will keep you satisfied.
