    "Completely useless."

    February 06, 2013   |   By Tiercel46

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

Easy to use, so you can get to the point where it crashes that much quicker.

    Cons

When working with more than a couple of dozen tracks, crashes about 99% of the time. This makes it totally useless because unless it can process ALL the mp3 files in a single batch it won't end up with all tracks at the same volume level

    Summary

I've tried running this at different priorities (normal and idle), with different options (AutoNormalize and manual 150% volume increase), and on different computers with different versions of Windows. Only once did it get past about a third of the files in a collection of folders, but has now crashed about 15 times. I've reported this to customer support and they said they're "unable to replicate the problem". So I sent them a sample mp3 file that crashes even if run by itself with all the factory default settings, and haven't heard back. They refuse to give refunds so I'll be reporting this to Better Business Bureau, disavowing the credit card charge with my bank, and posting honest reviews (like this one) to warn others away from this piece of junk. It might work beautifully for some lucky folks, and they might have super-sophisticated algorithms that sometimes work perfectly, but if they can't debug their own software or stand by their product then they shouldn't be in business.

    April 01, 2011   |   By Infinitebaffle

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

    No limit to file size

    Cons

Kinda slow, but not that bad

    Summary

It is worth the money. I have tested many normalize programs and this is in the top 3. They also claim to have a mp3 repair program...We will see about that one

    "The best of several tested"

    February 17, 2011   |   By bogbasic

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

I tried several normalisers and this did the best job. Recommended.

    Cons

I couldn't program to save my life so I'm not finding cons, just yet.

    Summary

I think this is the program which will finally stop me going deaf with the deadly noise-cancelling in-ear phones! I'm not going to listen to anything unless its been through this program, so I got the licensed version. Support was good - they get you round any issues, and then you can batch-normalise your whole collection! The volume level is remarkably constant throughout the quiet- and the loud-bits of each MP3 and (most importantly) it does not vary from track to track. Even works for Alva Noto. Get it or go mutton jeff!

    "Works very well."

    February 02, 2010   |   By mcada99

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

    * Easy to use
    * Works in the background without taking too much processing power
    * Single files, whole folders or your entire music catalogue can be normalized at once
    * Lets you compare before and after
    * Can undo normalization

    Cons

    * Only minimises to systray icon, not to taskbar
    * Can ruin some files if you're not careful - don't overwrite until you've listened to the result!!!
    * Multiple passes across each file ensure good normalization but can take time

    Summary

This program is very easy to use, and manages to normalise the sound within a track as well as across tracks. It works for all types of music, but works especially well for orchestral pieces.

The end result is a uniform volume level for all your music that is generally louder than it was before - no more turning it up to 11 to hear one song and down to 3 for others.

It alters the peak levels within a track, not just metadata like some programs, ensuring that no matter what media player you're using, you will always get a consistent sound.

NOTE: If you find that it crashes, e-mail their tech support and they will direct you to a site with a patch. The patch resolves the issue.

    $24.95 well spent.

    "Is This A Joke ??"

    April 29, 2008   |   By RegEditor

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

Easy to use when it works. You have three choices for normalization.

    1. Is Auto Normalize thats their Recommended setting

    2. Is normalize volume to 1.50

    3. Advanced Normalization you can change the default

settings to where you think the normalized settings

should be but this takes way too long its a trial

and error guess on the different settings with

    unlimmited do overs.

For me the second option worked best normalize volume to 1.50 it didnt get the songs to the same audio level but close enough to where I wasnt turning the volume up and down on my Mp3 CD Player all the time.

    Cons

After normalizing around 10-12 MP3s the program stops working. And I cant get SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04 to normalize a single Mp3 I have to do a batch normalize for the program to work. I wasted $24.95 on SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04 It would be nice if the program worked the way the makers of the program Pro-Software says. If they do a updated version I hope they read this comment and fix all the bugs with this program. Always make a backup of all your Mp3s just to be on the safe side.

    "Stingy Trial Restriction "

    June 29, 2007   |   By Software Tester

    Version: SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04.21

    Pros

Seemed to do a good job at normalizing my mp3 files a few I had to go over them again with SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04. But I was able to listen to my mp3 files without having to adjust the volume control all the time on my PC.

    Cons

(Stingy Trial Restriction). You only get a 5 use trial period so you want to normalize is many mp3's as you can per session. A 30 day trial period would be nice to really see if SuperMp3Normalizer 1.04 meets your needs. Also make sure you make a back up of all your MP3's
