Spyware is nasty business, threatening your security by collecting information about your online activity without your knowledge or consent. SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition is a comprehensive program that can scan and delete spyware and a variety of other types of malware. Although the program cannot deal with true viruses, it's capable of finding and annihilating plenty of other pests.
The program's interface is straightforward, with a large button labeled "Scan your Computer" leading users to the most important feature. Radio buttons let users select a Quick Scan, Complete Scan, Critical Point Scan, or Custom Scan. We decided to start with the Quick scan, which took about three and a half minutes. SuperAntiSpyware detected 107 "threats," all of which were fairly benign tracking cookies. A full scan took much longer - about four hours - and turned up two "critical threats" and 25 "potentially unwanted programs/settings." We were able to deselect any items we wanted to retain using a checkbox, and then delete the rest with the click of a button. The program also has a selection of repairs that can be run to undo damage done by malware, and a scan log keeps a history of all the threats that have been deleted. SuperAntiSpyware has a comprehensive list of FAQs on its Web site, though we found the program easy to use without additional guidance. Overall, we think that SuperAntiSpyware is a good way to supplement your regular antivirus program, and we recommend it.

Summary
I use this program about once a week. I have low RAM, so I don't keep extra programs running. I configured this program to run when I open it. Make sure: you always click the update button, before you scan!!! With Avast, and this program... I have had no problems now in months. And, I visit over 50 websites per day. Also: I use the free version.

after installation, it says Trial. but for how long ? 1 year ? 1 month ? 1 week ? 1 day ? it requires you to install some sort of toolbar and to those who hates recommended installation, then you really should click Custom Installation.

well. i found 7 adwares in my pc. suprises me a lot when i already knew which sites it came from. LOL. highly recommended. give it a try. who knows how many diseases you have in your pc. especially to those who likes to visit adult sites. :D

Simple console. Picked up threats that Malwarebytes and MS Essentials missed. Though I still use those, as well. (Not sure why).

I used to use Spybot, but since they changed their dashboard and made it more for the "tech savvy" user, I decided to look for another.

FREE, quick install, and this program never fails to get the nasty virus and spyware that like to hide from the other programs.
Cons
You have to really be on your toes to not accept the professional trial, they put a default checked box in front of you all the time. Just don't use the express install or you will get stuff you don't need.
Summary
If your computer is in REAL trouble, go to another computer with a USB drive and download the superantispyware PORTABLE version into the thumb drive. Then go to your infected computer and run the file. It will work. But for routine cleaning, this program can't be beat. I would put it up against ANY antivirus program, paid or free. I manage 12 computers for our company and use this program a lot when the users infect their machines.

With all the problems this program has, they overshadow any pros.

This program is the worst! As soon as I installed it, Internet Explorer quit working. I Googled and found that this happened to many people. I tried to reload IE and it was blocked from loading. Then I uninstalled SAS using the Install/Uninstall on my computer and got rid of it. So I thought. Then I started getting pop-ups saying to update the SAS program. Realized the program was still on my machine and saw a yellow bug icon in my tray. (Bug is the perfect icon for this horrible program. It has bugged me for days now!). I have tried to use Microsoft to get rid of any lingering parts of the program but it can't find any. I have emailed the company twice now for instructions on how to get the rest of their program off my computer. Haven't heard anything yet.
Summary
Don't use this program. It is such a hassle and like an unwanted guest, it leaves a mess and never leaves.

Scan works reasonally fast without drawing too much resources from computer. Really good at finding unwanted cookies and even trojan malware that can mess up your computer.
Cons
There are no cons as far as I am concerned.
Summary
SuperAntiSpyware will find stuff on your computer even after you have run other programs like Iobit and Malwarebytes, which is also a really good program. It should be on everyone's computer and run a couple of times each week. It works good!!

DO NOT INSTALL SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH MALWAREBYTES. THE TWO WILL HANG UP. ALSO, UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES REMOVAL OF MALWAREBYTES TO RECOVER YOUR COMPUTER IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE (Corrupted program, will not uninstall)! I abandoned MalwareBytes because when running alone even, it is miserably slow.
