You can specify rules according files masks to block software installers execution. The program allows you to set the administrator password to prevent software installation, change program settings, uninstall the Stop Software Installation Tool. You can also specify the list of rules with files masks to block certain file execution.
What's new in this version: Version 3.1.1.293 is a maintenance release.

"Freezes your computer!!!! Beware!"

Pros
The description is excellant for the product you're looking for.
Cons
After you install and reboot, your computer sometimes boots up all the way or freezes. When you do get lucky in booting up, you're computer is very slow, you're start menu misses icons, and you'll experience a freeze up soon. Try it, you'll know.
Summary
After uninstalling it, all my "online software" setup files have been erased from my computer. I hope others will try this software, that way I won't be alone in the frustration!
