"Immensely useful tool"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
Provides the most basic functions you need to provide quality analysis. The price is extremely reasonable. The help also teaches you why you would want to use each function.
Cons
Plain interface, but easy to use. Also unable to open up multiple windows at once, so you have to clear a whole set of findings before using another function.
Summary
I'm a professional researcher, and unless I need to do something REALLY complicated that requires SPSS, this is the tool that I use most. It's effective and very easy to use, and it does just about everything you need very quickly. Let's say that 60% of one demographic preferred one product, and 70% of another demographic preferred a different one. Want to know how significant that finding is? Just plug it into the calculator and it will give you a two-tailed probability that determines just how meaningful your finding is. Instantly. I highly recommend it, especially if you're a qualitative researcher looking to provide statistically accurate findings on a related quantitative study, or if you're a college student doing survey or other research.
