  Pros

  I tried Second Life years ago and gave up in frustration. This product is the best way to learn second life. There is nothing more fun than following along with the training what a great method of learning. Great nonlinear approach!

  Cons

  Maybe too much information or maybe too long winded at times but all in all this is GREAT! Now I just need more friends to chat with. It's best to find an open place to learn as people come up to you and want to talk while your trying to learn.

  Summary

  You have to try this! Second life has so much potential but it's way too hard to use. I think the founder, studied physics so its like a masters thesis really cool 3d animation and lighting and an awkward unix like user interface. Well forget about the complications this training makes it easy to use, really easy plus there is a quick search feature that will show you what you want to know if you forget something. I.e. how to clap? it shows you in a second how to clap, totally cool. Also I like the fact that I can use it while I'm doing other things, its kind of like learn by doing but you can also learn at the same time you are doing something else. One example shows how to drive a car but you can use the same thing you learn to sail a windsurfer. I visited an island (excellent graphics) people were dancing to a dj (great music) and I surfed around while I played with this training it was a lot of fun. Try second life today with this software!

• Fast & Easy to learn Second Life & Great Quick Search.

  Pros

  Cool follow along learn by doing interface. Great quick search (search for nothing or * to see whats out there). I could never figure out why wdsa did not always work for movements now I get it. Only play what you want to learn.

  Cons

  You must watch the first video, DO NOT try to follow along with it, it's an overview of the learning system that shows you what you can do. If you try to follow along with the first video you will be confused. You get spoiled fast & want more!

  Summary

  All in all, all software should be this easy to use. Software is supposed to help us with tasks but it often takes too long to learn, SofTutor definitely shortens the learning curve of Second Life. I tried second life on several occasions and always quit due to frustration due to the steep learning curve. Now I can see what a great tool Second Life really is. After about an hour with SofTutor I was telling people how to do things. Its pretty cool if you meet someone who's confused, find out what they want, search for it in SofTutor and tell them (not everything is in SofTutor but more than 100 topics) even odd things like over riding the daylight. Problem with SofTutor is it spoils you, once you try it, you'll never want to go back to any old method. Other web based video training products are just lectures but SofTutor is more like an instructor standing over your shoulder and pointing out what to do, its an awesome learning method. The quick search is AWESOME as well, I tried quick search on someone elses product and had to wait too long to get the response, SofTutor on the other hand told me how to do the command in seconds. I want more SofTutor products! I did find an excel demo and they said they will add more content which I cannot wait to try.
