This screensaver lends a winter atmosphere to your PC any time of year, but the bundled adware leaves us a bit chilly. Graphically, the 3D snowflakes are quite appealing. The downside to this is that Snowflake 3D Screensaver may run quite slow on older or less powerful machines. We were impressed with the amount of customization options this program offers. You can set the screensaver to show the date and time, configure the frame rate, add your own music as a soundtrack, and change the size and speed of the falling snowflakes.

However, as is often the case with screensavers, this one brings along several pieces of adware. Therefore, we can't give what is otherwise a decent program our full endorsement.

Both large and small snowflakes are drawn in 3D, which creates a beautiful image you will have to see to believe. Options include changing the background image, the number of snowflakes active, and the speed at which they fall. Resolution switching, passwords, and mouse filtering are fully supported.
