Snappy Fax is a fax application and document management system. While the use of a scanner is entirely optional, it is one of the few applications that can actually turn your scanner and fax modem into a fully functional fax machine. You can also receive faxes and the internet can be used as a medium for sending and receiving fax images.
What's new in this version: Version 5.3.2.43 has added option to scale fax image to size when processed from watch folder and fixed some bugs in sending scheduled faxes.

I didn't need help to figure out how to scan and fax.
Support told me in one day how to go to Control Panel -> Administrative->Services->Fax and change it from Auto to Manual, allowing software other than MS Fax and Scan access to my modem.Cons
None I know of.
Summary
I recommend this software highly. Excellent error messages, explaining what was wrong, and instant response to my query from tech support. The only fax software(of about five I tried that got me past my modem being monopolized by Windows Fax and Scan. Thank you!

"Has a nice user interface"

User Interface and Fax Sending features are fine
Cons
Fax Receive is problematic. I was only able to receive 2 of 20 faxes sent to me. I described the problem in minute detail to SnappyFax Tech support 5 days ago, but have still not received a reply.

A great product for a home office, Snappy fax works seamlessly with my smart ring (or distictive ring if you prefer), and never presents a problem, only a solution.
