This tiny application makes you use the command line to perform shutdown operations, but be warned: Slam will shut your machine down without warning if you access it from the Start menu. Studying the ReadMe file is a must; it contains a list of command options you must use if you want to logoff, restart or hibernate. The program also has warn and wait options to give users enough time in closing other applications. You also can perform remote shutdown, although this will not work on default XP installations. Users comfortable with program commands will appreciate Slam and its ultrafast shutdown from Start. Those who would rather have their shutdown options readily available in an easy-to-understand interface can find a more user-friendly application elsewhere.Publisher's description
From ACAPsoft :This assembly language program provides the ability to perform any shutdown operation via the command line. Slam can easily shutdown, restart, log off, power-down, suspend or hibernate your computer. Slam can also be used to remotely shutdown other computers, and for shutting down windows automatically at a set time using Windows built in Scheduler. Force can be used to closed crashed programs, plus delayed and warned shutdowns are also supported.
