As others have mentioned, since this is only a box for typing a phone number or skype ID and dialing, it is pretty useless as a dock item.
About the only good thing I can say about it is that it didn't blow up my computer or operating system (yet).
This is a widget for widget's sake, and not because there is any function to it. -

It's silly to have a widget like this unless you continuously use Dashboard. For me, it just becomes silly because I almost never use Dashboard and it's easier to make the call from Skype itself.

First thing: I'm missing a screenshot of this visual thing at this place.
For me it's an useless app, cause it's only a dile button and a small window, where you can tipe or copy a phonenumber. No adressbook compatibility. : (
