This searchable index can be a javascript file that can be searched with client-side javascript, or an XML file that can be searched using server-side ASP or ASP.NET. The client-side javascript approach will work over the Web, regardless of your web server platform, and even in server-less environments like CD-ROM, hard disk or floppy disk. Everything you need is included to help you easily get your search up and working in minutes--and no programming is required.
