• Bait and Switch No Longer Free

  Pros

  Its an ok IE add-in for using adblock lists within IE. However, these lists belong to the community.

  Cons

  - Switched from being free to being paid - Uses community sigs but they put up a paywall for this feature - Performance hit - Clearly no as effective as adblock within chrome or firefox.

  Summary

  Do not solicit or encourage bait and switch software thugs like this. Its disgusting to see loyal users being told hey, you know that bugfix or the new list you want? Well, everything that was free before now costs money.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Sep 24, 2012<p/>Also, note it takes minutes to reach the 200 blocks that keep the package free. Its an insultingly low number.

  Pros

  None at all, granted it does block adds and such. but will occassionaly throw it's own at you.

  Cons

  Once uninstalled it will leave tracking software in the users pc and bombard almost every site you visit with an add. It has been linked to 'Adnxs' which is a site that tracks the users browsing and also linked to the tracker/malware CDN helper.

  It works for a couple of days. Then.....

  Cons

  ...they hit you with an update, without telling you that it is not FREE. They wait until you have updated to announce that they have to charge you for it, and you cannot go back to the Free version. I contacted them about this. They refused to answer.
